Ahh, here I find myself relaxing on a lovely Friday afternoon. I feel like I should be outside frolicking, but what fun is frolicking if you don't have anyone to frolick with? I wonder how many times I can use the world frolick before it gets annoying... probably filled my quota by now.
We are studying the Elizabethan Period in English right now, and well I say "studying"... but it's more like skimming. I'm being a snob because I'm a nerd about the English Courts, King Henry the VIII yada yada. We never go much in depth in this English class. I can't say I enjoy much about it. Anyway, because Shakespeare is very much apart of the Elizabethan Period we had to write sonnets for a grade. I dreaded this right from the start because I've never been much of a poet. Neither is anyone else in class, but I usually find it difficult to write without sounding too cliche. Much to my horror, she gave us the option of reading them aloud for bonus. I try not to ever pass up a bonus opportunity, but I really didn't want to read something I had written aloud. Most people wrote humorous sonnets, but I wrote a... "serious" one. I think when it comes to writing, most teenagers just write something humorous to avoid being picked apart. I considered doing that, but I thought, "Hey, why not? I'll try." So I tried, and surprisingly, I was pretty proud of my work. I was even more proud of reading it aloud, which I really didn't want to do. Since then I wrote another sonnet with ease. Hm, maybe I am a poet and didn't know it. Now if only I could write papers like that...
Yesterday I watched the movie "Music From Another Room" from 1998 with Jude Law. I really enjoyed it! For all of you romantics out there, you might want to check it out. It was humorous, maybe even a little cheesey, but I really liked it. But then again, is there a movie with Jude Law we don't like, ladies of the world? I didn't think so.
Posted below is yesterday's broadcast from West Monroe. "World News with Lucas and Taylor" is featured. If you don't want to watch all of our suuuuper interesting announcements, just skip to about 1:40 on the video. Enjoy, and we'll be back next week with another segment.
All you folks out there have a lovely, sunny weekend!

A Mexican without a mustache isn't a Mexican at all.
